Binary Research Automates Largest Moving Services Company in US.

Fort Washington, PA, Nov. 12 – Binary Research, Inc, (BRI) announced today that, in conjunction with Software Ventures Management, Inc, of Jamison, PA, it has completed the first phase of a major automation project involving BRI custom software and project management services for Movers Specialty Service (MSS) of Montgomeryville, PA.

The initial phase of this project – which went from design to full implementation in less than six months, has automated the Order Processing, Pricing, Dispatch, Billing, and Customer Service functions of MSS on their 100 workstation Microsoft Windows NT network. “Before we began the development, we has a mostly manual system. It became increasingly clear to us that we needed to fully automate our business processes. Our company has sustained in excess of 35% annual growth in each of the past five years. In our first month of operation with the new system, we processed over twice as many orders as for that month in the previous year – with no increase in staff,” said Tim Hughes, owner of MSS. “MSS looked long and hard for a vendor to provide this solution – all of BRI’s competition was either several times more expensive or needed twice as long to complete the project.”

“MSS is the largest company of their type in the United States,” said Sandy Butcher, CEO of BRI. “Our GLUE environment gives them a fully customized solution, at a cost competitive to what they would pay for off-the-shelf software. This way, they get the best of both worlds – a system that works exactly the way that their business does, and with all of the off-the-shelf-frills.”

BRI, founded in 1977, is a privately held developer of computer software applications for Document Image Management, Database Management, and Electronic Workflow. In addition, BRI provides custom systems integration and specialized applications. Although the company boasts customers in such diverse locations and England and Guam, it focuses on Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, and Maryland. BRI’s products include Easy Image, a Document Image Management solution, Apogee, a specialty Database Management Product, and GLUE, and Information Management environment.

BRI sells these products with varying amounts of customization to businesses and institutional customers. BRI’s local customer list includes Hafield Specialty Meats, RecordTrak, and Rosenberger’s Dairies.
